Welcome on the website of Château de Saulty

Emmanuel Dalle and Sylvie welcome you to their four converted guest rooms within this 19th century chateau, which was built upon the ruins of a 12th century fortification by the industrial Louis Crespel. He in fact made his fortune by discovering the process of extracting sugar from sugar beet, and is it at Saulty that he established one of his first sugar refineries. The present building is set amongst orchards of apples and pears which are grown organically, in harmony whith sustainable agriculture. The grounds boast fine old trees and provide a carpet of greenery to offset the blanched stone of the Chateau with its classical façade. After a night in one of the spacious rooms with its antique furnishings and marble fireplace, you can enjoy a continental breakfast downstairs in the large dining room. Apple juice and jams made from the Chateau's own produce will offer you a tempting invitation to take a leisurely stroll around the grounds and orchards.
